Union Gallery is hosting residencies for all of Home Sweet Home’s exhibiting artists! As part of the creation period, local youth artists who are making new work based on youth authors’ stories will be invited to take over the gallery space and work on their pieces alongside their peers. Although taking part in these residencies is not mandatory, this unique experience provides young artists the space typically reserved for older, more established artists to build off each other, ask each other questions, and be involved in each other’s processes.

Visit Home Sweet Home, in the Main Space from June 1 – June 22, 2024.

UNION GALLERY is funded and supported by Queen's University, Alma Mater Society (AMS), Society of Graduate and Professional Students (SGPS), Ontario Arts Council, City of Kingston Arts Fund–Kingston Arts Council and the City of Kingston, with partnerships with Stauffer Library, Cultural Studies, Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies, and Art History and Art Conservation.
