Fundraiser Preview at Union Gallery: January 17–February 4, 2023
Live Ticketed Event (Virtual): February 4, 2023, 7pm–10pm EST
Student and professional artists from the Katarokwi-Kingston region and beyond donate artworks towards Union Gallery's largest annual fundraiser. Ticket holders can choose from a wide selection of artworks available in a multitude of styles—but, with a twist. Tickets are drawn in a lottery style and when a ticket holder's name is called, they have two minutes to claim an artwork of their choice. Cézanne’s Closet makes for an intense if not exhilarating evening, as ticket holders eagerly keep an eye on their favourite artworks.
Tickets are $100 each and guarantee the ticket holder one (1) artwork. At the live (virtual) event, tickets are drawn in a lottery style. When a ticket holder's name is called, they have two minutes to claim an artwork of their choice.
With over 90 artworks available to choose from and comical MC's contribute to a fun flurry of festivities. All funds raised directly support Union Gallery's programming, including exhibitions, artist residencies, workshops, performances and more.
Co-curated by Queen's University Art History students Anna Douglas and Cicely Haggerty, this year's event includes a fundraiser preview at Union Gallery leading up to the live ticketed event. All are invited to view Cézanne’s Closet artworks in-person from January 17–February 4, 2023 to help finalize their list of favourite artworks.
