POSTER ART: Invitations to Play

August 11 + 13, 2022
10am–12pm
Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning: Kids Creativity Club
Free program + materials provided

Art organizations often create posters to announce programs and gather community. These posters are invitations to participate. Sometimes the posters are printed on paper, sometimes they are posted on the internet. We will be creating paper posters to promote an imaginary community art project. Pretend you are an arts organizer. What kind of event would you like to plan? Where would it take place? Each participant will use a simple transfer method to create 2 paper posters to promote their imaginary event, one to take home and one to add to our poster wall. Materials provided.

About Kids Creativity Club

Kids Creativity Club is a Saturday morning art program at the Tett Centre where children and their families can experience the arts together. Each week, participants can enjoy a variety of hands-on, creative arts activities with local artists and volunteers. The program generally caters to children aged 10 and under, but all are welcome. Come and explore, create, and be inspired at the Tett!

There is no fee for this program, but $5 donations are encouraged to support our charitable arts organization in providing art supplies and instruction for Kids Creativity Club and other community programs.
