Time: Preview: 7-8pm | Ticket Draw: 8pm
Location: Union Gallery, 1st Floor Stauffer Library, Queen's University
Works of art, juried from donations by students, graduates, professors, and community artists are exhibited at this formal event held annually. Each ticket holder is assigned a number, and when it is called, they have two minutes to claim a piece of artwork. This makes for an intense if not exhilarating evening, as participants keep an eye on which of their favourite pieces have yet to be taken.
The Union Gallery is now accepting submissions of donated artwork. If you are interested in donating your artwork, please drop off your work anytime during gallery hours. We can accept works on paper, canvas, and some small sculptures. Artworks will be juried to ensure they meet the criteria of inclusion. Because tickets for the event are sold for $150, we ask artists to keep this value in mind when submitting.
Please drop off your work by January 25, 2020. If you have any questions, please email Nicole Daniels at email@example.com. More information here.
The Union Gallery is looking for volunteers interested in joining the Cézanne’s Closet committee. Cézanne’s Closet is the gallery’s largest fundraising event of the year and depends on the efforts of the volunteer committee to run smoothly. Volunteers may choose to join a subcommittee focused on ticket sales, entertainment, artwork, advertising or day of logistics.
This is a great way to get involved with the gallery as well as Kingston’s art community! Don't to miss out on this exciting opportunity! If you are interested in joining a committee or have any questions, please email Quinn Venable at firstname.lastname@example.org. More information here.
Because this is a smaller venue we will be selling a limited number of tickets. Tickets are $150 and guarantee the ticket holder one piece of original artwork and admission with one guest. Get your tickets soon so you won't be disappointed!
