The Union Gallery invites submissions for the exhibition, Temporal Encounters. We invite submissions in all media including sculpture, photography, painting, video, print, sound, and performance.
When you go on a walk, what do you encounter? On or off campus, walking in the city gives you a bodily sense of your environment. As we walk, we may also consider how we look to others – including our gait, gender identity, race, and class. What do we experience of the environment that cannot be put into words? How do we express our psyches, a state of mind? Artists working in all media are invited to share work that explores their daily dérive.
The gallery supports the presentation of high quality contemporary art in the form of original, collaborative and experimental ideas and projects. Works in progress will be considered as long as they provide the selection team with a clear idea of the finished piece and if selected, they must be completed by January 19th, 2019.
